Pursuing God's Call to Become An Unusual Kind of Church
Who We Are
We Are Pursuing God's Call to Become An Unusual Kind of Church. We are not a Church yet, but we firmly believe this is the path God has called us together to pursue. A path that is divergent from the evangelic Church ethos we have come to expect on Sunday morning, yet thoroughly Christ-centered and completely founded on the Word in a thought-provoking way. We want to do more than just show up Sunday morning. We want to live life together. So we think different about a lot of traditionally accepted Church practices and norms.
We are led by a council of men, or "pastors" if you will, rather than just one guy. We believe we can accomplish more as a team of leaders, with a mosaic of godward perspectives, than we can with just one leader. We lead relationally, rather than by title or position. We believe it is a more profound and impacting reflection of the character of Christ to love and get to know people before trying to lead them.
We leave business up to those who do business. We have a solid work ethic when it comes to things pertaining to the Kingdom of God, but we believe that the Sanctity and Separateness of the Church must be preserved at all costs. To do this, we make every effort to prevent business models, behaviors, and perspectives from gaining ground in the Sanctuary of Fellowship we call our church home.

What We're About
- From top to bottom, we have a "House Church" mindset. We can only grow big if we grow small, if we value relationships above titles, positions, popularity, and control. And if we lead from the heart more than we lead from the pulpit. All of our leaders commit to leading or participating in a weekly small group.
- It's counter-intuitive, but we believe that true spiritual leadership, by its very nature, raises up and produces leaders. Small groups don't create disciples, disciples do. For us it's about making room for growing Christians to lead, mature, and find space to discover their callings and giftings.
- We internally identify our theological slant within the group as Reformed Charismatic. Regarding who we are, what we're about, and where the Lord is taking us, this is more than just a doctrinal outline or draft sketch for us: it's the heartbeat and roadmap for all of it. We are Reformed in the classic, even Augustinian, sense of the word. We believe Reformed Theology marks the purest biblical approach to understanding God's sovereign and powerful Will, the reality that encompasses and drives all of His Kingdom work in the earth, and the failure of human will to hold us up. We are Charismatic in the sense that we simply believe the work of the Spirit of Christ has not ceased. He still speaks, gives His gifts, and immerses His people anywhere there are those with ears to hear. We look to the book of Acts to challenge and mold us. We eagerly pursue His presence and earnestly desire that He would raise up spiritual gifts in our midst for the edification and building up of the Church.
